Prices for Estonia-grown vegetables are twice higher as compared to foreign vegetables, Estonian national broadcasting ERR reported. Estonian vegetables are much more expensive than imported, reports LETA.
The producers believe that retailers would be able to reduce prices for locally-grown vegetables.
Thus, Estonian vegetables would be within rich of local customers, at least in the harvest season. Nevertheless, sellers pointed out that prices depend on many factors, and also on the price set by producers.
Producers, in their turn, insist that their price is not that high. therefore, local consumers choose either imported or local vegetables, depending on their financial abilities.
