In an annual fair and conference TransRussia 2013 which takes place on April 23-26 in Moscow, Estonian presence has been especially wide this year, informed LETA, referring to the Estonian national broadcasting corporation ERR.
This year, a national stand and ten more separate stands of Estonia will be present at TransRussia.
A total of nearly 30 Estonian companies will take place in the marketplace event. This is the record number of Estonian enterprises – the participants of TransRussia – during several last years.
It is not a big surprise that the number of participants at TransRussia grows with every year, a company's BaltMarketConsult Board Member and the project TransRussia's Trustee Tatjana Eremina emphasized.
"The improvement of economic relationships between Estonia and Russia has been noted recently, and commodities' turnover between the states grows yearly. Current economic and political situation makes a good base for Estonian entrepreneurs to cooperate more with Russia's partners, the companies have more chances for attracting flows of traffic. In current situation Estonian companies have a possibility to fight for the right to handle the freight, because much depends on themselves and activities in Russia are unimaginable with participation in TransRussia. This is one of the aspects," said Eremina.
On the other hand, as Eremina noted, organizers of TransRussia try to make this conference as much useful as possible.
Estonia comes to TransRussia not only on behalf of logistic companies. This year, Estonia will be represented at the national stand supported by the target entrepreneurship support fund EAS and Estonia's Logistics Cluster, which this year is located on 140 square meters floor area which is more as compared to the previous year. In 2013, Tallinn and Sillamae ports, Estonian Railway and leading shipping agencies, as well as logistics-targeted enterprises take part in TransRussia. For example, a company Maru has come to Russia offering specialized services of stocks building. The company expects to exit the new markets via TransRussia.
the second biggest stand after the national one is Transiidikeskuse's representation where the company plans to improve cooperation with its partners.
Separate stands are prepared by Estonian companies Express Shipping, Uralest, Alekon Holding, Euro-Asia Logistics, Proline, Tallship, Intopex, Citodat Invest, Ecarworld Estonia (Storeland).
The TransRussia exhibition is a major marketplace for transport services, each year attracting leading professionals from Russia, the CIS and Baltics. At the event, the most important issues in the development of the Russian transport system are discussed, and new information systems are developed for interaction between different modes of transport, aimed at successfully addressing logistics issues in the global market for transportation and logistics services. Being focused primarily on cargo transportation services, the TransRussia exhibition demonstrates the full range of industry solutions – from transport and forwarding services to software and equipment for cargo handling.
