Some may find the latest demographic data bleak, but Tallinn City Government is celebrating 15th of May - Tallinn Day - with six flower towers displaying the number of people registered as Tallinn residents.
The flower arrangement is made from six two-meter towers, aligned so together they'll form the number of residents, said city officials in a statement on Wednesday.
According to January 1 figures from the Population Register, Tallinn has 419,830 official residents - an increase of 3,686 people since the end of 2011.
The installation location to Kaarli puiestee was chosen because of its good visibility for drivers and pedestrians alike.
The work will be managed by the Tallinn Botanic Garden and will cost 7,380 euros.
