Middlesbrough have confirmed the signing of Tarmo Kink for an undisclosed fee from Hungarian club Gyori ETO.
24-year-old Kink, who operates on the left side of midfield, signed a contract on Tuesday night after agreeing a three-year contract.
Gordon Strachan’s latest signing has an impressive pedigree, including a talent for finding the back of the net, and has been capped 46 times by Estonia.
The midfielder started his career at the Estonian club FC Levadia where he scored 15 goals in 45 games, before he notched up another 35 goals in 80 appearances for Gyori. He also played at Spartak Moscow for a short period of time moving to the Russian club on loan.
We're delighted to sign him," Strachan told Middlesbrough's official website.
"The lad is a good player. We've watched him on quite a few occasions and always liked what we saw. He's a good ball player and he's got a good left foot.
"He's had a virus which has knocked him back a bit, but he starts training with us next week and he should be fully recovered by then."
