According to the Estonian Land Board, 22.3 bln kroons worth of real estate transactions were carried out in Estonia in 2009, which was by 45% less than in 2008, when the total value of transactions was 39.95 bln kroons, LETA reports, referring to Äripäev.ee.
The total number of transactions fell by 22% to 39,490 in 2009 from 50,663 in 2008.
In a year, 97,759 hectares of land exchanged owners versus 110,251 hectares in 2008.
The average value of a real estate transactions was 564,500 kroons in 2009 versus 788,500 kroons in 2008.
