TALLINN - The amount of loans overdue more than 60 days in Estonia's banking system fell to 6.4 percent of the total loan portfolio by the end of September from 6.5 percent in August, the central bank said on Friday.
The bank system is 95 percent controlled by four Nordic financial groups, with Swedbank and SEB being market leaders.
The total loan portfolio was 248.2 billion kroons ($23.9 billion), 4 percent less than in the same period a year ago.
Nordic banks have suffered losses in all three Baltic states due to provisions for bad loans.
