Tallinn city government announced in collaboration with the Union of Estonian Architects a tender for the new city hall building. The winner of the tender earns EEK 500,000, postimees.ee writes.
The international design contest is carried out in two phases. The winner receives EEK 500,000, second place EEK 300,000 and the third place EEK 200,000.
The contest costing EEK 3.5 mln will be complete next year.
According to the plans, construction works of the building will begin in 2010 and it will be established next to the large conference and entertainment centre Linnahall.
