The Government approved of the agreement concluded between Estonia and Spain on the basis of which Spain will represent Estonia on visa issues in 17 countries.
Minister of foreign affairs Urmas Paet explained that if a person wants to travel to Estonia and apply for a Schengen visa, he or she will in future be able to do it in Spanish embassies or consulates in the countries included in the agreement, writes ETV24/LETA.
Spain will represent Estonia in Algiers in Algeria, in Buenos Aires in Argentina, in Sao Paulo in Brazil, in San Jose in Costa Rica, in Quito in Ecuador, in San Salvador in El Salvador, in Guatemala in Guatemala, in Tegucigalpa in Honduras, in Santa Fe de Bogota in Colombia, in La Habana in Cuba, in Mexico in Mexico, in Managua in Nicaragua, in Panama in Panama, in Asuncion in Paraguay, in San Juan in Puerto Rico, in Montevideo in Uruguay, in Caracas in Venezuela.
Thus far Estonia has concluded agreements for representation in visa issues with Germany, Latvia, Finland and with Hungary. Negotiations are ongoing for concluding similar agreements with France, Slovenia and with Poland.
