Rautakesko AS, the leading retailer of building and home improvement supplies in Estonia, opens its seventh store in the country in Rakvere today. The new K-rauta employs a staff of 35 and the product selection comprises about 20,000 different building, home improvement and gardening items. The total area of the store is 4,750 m², of which the indoor area is 3,150 m² and the remaining 1,600 m² serve as a covered outdoor sales area of building materials.
This year, Rautakesko opens three new stores in Estonia : the K-rauta in Võru was opened last month and the one in Kuressaare will be completed in the autumn. According to Alo Ivask, Managing Director of Rautakesko AS, the company is focusing on geographic expansion in order to be closer to customers - the target is to make the wide and high-quality selection of building and home improvement products available throughout Estonia.
"Being part of a large international group, we are able to considerably increase the selection of products available in Rakvere at competitive prices," says Ivask.
