In year 2008 the top list of most prestigious enterprises compiled by TNS Emor is led by Hansapank.
Kalev which has been the leader in this area for the past five years, fell to second place, writes ETV24/LETA.
Ranking next are SEB Pank, Rakvere Lihakombinaat and the Saku Brewery.
Among major State-owned enterprises the residents consider the one most prestigious to be Eesti Energia which ranks 12 in the general list.
According to project manager of the survey Mari-Ann Bankier, Kalev’s image has been weakened mostly due to news that concern foodstuffs industries in the Kalev Group.
The ranking was compiled on the basis of two indicators: general attitude of Estonian residents towards enterprises and their assessment to the companies’ strength. Hansapank’s arithmetic average of these two indicators was 8.44 while last year it was 8.37.
1,005 Estonian residents of 15-74 years of age participated in the survey carried out in April this year.
