* This summer Estonian Air will expand its network by launching a new service to Vienna and re-introducing Hamburg, which was operated until October 2006. Following last year’s success, the summer routes to Dubrovnik, Simferopol and Paris will all be operated also this year. To accommodate the increasing number of services, the company will in June put into use a 6th aircraft, a Boeing 737-500.
Starting from June, Estonian Air will fly four times a week between Tallinn and Vienna, the capital of Austria. The route will be operated on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday morning, using Boeing 737-aircraft.
Hamburg will be re-introduced to the Estonian Air route network as of the start of the summer traffic programme, with the first departure on 26 March. The route will be operated with three weekly flights - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“With our new destination of Vienna and re-launched Hamburg, Estonian Air will be serving 16 non-stop regular routes throughout Europe, which is more than any other carrier in Estonia today. And we will continue to expand our business and to offer attractive destinations and prices, based on our successful one-way fare concept”, said Peter Arvidsson, Vice President Commercial at Estonian Air.
As for the summer routes, Paris will open at the start of the summer programme with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday), and a fourth frequency (Friday) will be added at the beginning of May. Flights to Dubrovnik are scheduled from June to September with two weekly services on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Simferopol, also with two weekly services on Tuesdays and Saturdays, will be operated from mid-May to mid-September.
