* An Estonian Air Boeing taxiing away from the terminal crashed into an Airo Catering Eesti service vehicle, breaking a light from the tip of the plane’s wing. It is the second time in recent months that an Estonian Air plane has crashed with a service vehicle. The flight was delayed for several hours while Estonian Air found a replacement aircraft. Among the delayed passengers was Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, who was en-route to London.
I ran into some workers from Boeing at the Nimeta bar last week that had flown in from Seattle to repair this aircraft.
They said it did a million dollars worth of damage to the nose and avionics. Ouch.
