* British Oil Tanker Runs Aground Off Estonia ; No Immediate Danger of Spill
The Isle of Man-registered Weserstern, reportedly on its way to Karlshamn, Sweden, ran aground late Monday just after leaving a port near the Estonian capital. It was not immediately clear how many crew members were on board, but there were no reports of injuries.
Maritime authorities said the vessel, operated by German shipping company Rigel Schiffahrts Gmbh & Co. KG, was double-hulled, minimizing the risk of an oil leakage. They would attempt to pull the tanker off the ground on Tuesday.
It was the second Baltic Sea accident involving the Weserstern within a year. The tanker run aground near the eastern Finnish town of Porvoo in April.
