MOSCOW - The radars of the Russian air defense detected an Estonian airplane that violated Russia's airspace, Russian Air Force spokesman Col. Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
"A light training airplane flying from the direction of Estonia violated the state border of the Russian Federation at 6:33 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday evening. The plane strayed five kilometers deep into Russia's airspace and stayed there for about a minute," he said.
The aircraft was flying at a height of over 10,000 meters and at a speed of 800 kilometers per hour, Drobyshevsky said.
