Higher than expected inflation (around 4.5% in 2006 - up 0.8% since spring) forecasts have seriously dented Estonia's hopes of adopting the euro in 2008, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip said.
Let's remember that the fixed EU limit is 2.3% !
So it looks like some knew what they were talking about earlier this year when they forecasted "not sooner that 2010" .... Not a very good thing for a country which was so hopeful as to be the first out of the 10 newcomers.
