TALLINN - Retail sales in Estonia grew 20 pct in February from a year earlier to EEK 2.8 bln (EUR 179 mln), at constant prices, BNS news agency reported, citing the Statistical Office.
However, compared to January 2006, February retail sales were down 5% .
Sales grew in all sectors, with the strongest rise recorded in household appliances and clothing, more than 45%. Sales growth in other areas was below 15%.
Net sales by motor trade enterprises were EEK 2.4 bln in February, up 25% from February 2005 but down 7% from January.
