Rich addicts ?
25,000 Estonians are gambling addicts, according to a recent survey ordered by the Ministry of Social Affairs. 80% of these are men aged 21 to 44 and they spend an average of 65 EUR per person per day.
According to last year's figures, the average net income per member of household in Tallinn is 210 EUR per month, or approximately 7 EUR per day.

The quality management system ISO 9001:2000 has already been implemented in all casinos of Olympic Casino, the largest organiser of gaming in the Baltic States. Olympic Casino celebrated its 11th year of activity on the 20th of November with an entertaining charity party by donating 33 238 kroons to the Tallinn Centre for Children at Risk to mark this occasion. The mayor of Tallinn Tõnis Palts came to receive the donation check at the event. Estonian becomes Blackjack Champion of the Baltic Sea countries The Estonian team won the first place at the final of The Baltic Sea Blackjack Tournament, the Blackjack championships for the Baltic Sea countries, held on October 30 at the Grand Casino in Helsinki, Finland. Estonians also won the individual first prize, the best Blackjack player's title was claimed by Kristjan who won a total of almost 313 000 kroons of prize money. Altogether, Estonians in various final positions won 602 400 kroons. |
