Estonian national carrier Estonian Air carried close to 70,000 passengers in the first two months of the year which is 8.5% less than a year earlier.
In February, the airline carried 32,152 passengers, down from 32,613 a year before.
"Last year we had ten aircraft in our fleet and we were operating 20 percent more flights. Now we are operating regular flights with five and charter flights with two aircraft. At the same time the overall passenger level for two months is only 8 percent lower and on top of it, on a par with last February, which speaks of much improved efficiency of our operations," CEO Jan Palmer said in a comment.
