Gazprom Neft, a manufacturer of lubricants that belongs to Gazprom, Russian gas giant, is considering Estonia, Latvia and Finland as a location for its new plant to produce lubricants, writes Eesti Päevaleht.
The company is holding talks with three partners at present. It is believed that in Estonia, the most suitable location for the plant is Paldiski or Muuga ports.
Representatives of Gazprom and Port of Tallinn did not wish to comment the project to the press.
The project is expected to cost up to EUR 40m.
Gazprom Neft has 14% of the Russian market and has plants in Russia, Italy and Serbia. The company plans to increase its production capacity from 450,000 tons to 660,000 tons a year.
