Become a Fan
The one and only time I had the good fortune to visit Saaremaa was in 1989 still under the Soviet Union and I needed a visa to go with a tourist group.But even under the soviets it was another world...It was only a day trip but still saw a great deal and enjoyed it a great deal.I was able to escape the soviets in 1944 at the age of 13 so the first visits were (starting in 1987) a shattering emotional experience.After 1991 of course go there as often as possible and spend time between Cali-
fornia and Tallinn.A very good "show"! Thank you!
