As the nation mourns the victims of last week's deadly fire at a Haapsalu foster care home, news has come of another fire, this one in a Pärnu hospital. No injuries were reported.
The fire broke out in a basement room in the early morning hours of February 25, rus.err.ee reported.
Hospital security guards reported the fire at 01:46 after their attempts to douse it failed. Rescue workers extinguished the blaze at 05:32.
Some patients were transferred to other wings of the facility after a thin smoke spread through the building.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
