So far drivers could consider that they don’t get fines for small speeding, then speeding cameras start likely issue fines when the allowed limit is exceeded by 6 km/h, Postimees writes.
All 16 cameras should be in order at Tallinn-Tartu highway in no later than the end of November. Those, who exceed speed less will likely remain in the limits of maximum permissible error, which isn’t set yet.
Nelli Pello, spokesperson of the Police said that every kilometre over allowed limit will bring fine of EEK 50.
Pello said that the speeding cameras won’t change Police’s behaviour tougher, since fines issued by the camera are for warning and not carried to a punishment register. She said that the purpose for the cameras is calming traffic flow and decreasing number of accidents.

"the purpose for the cameras is calming traffic flow and decreasing number of accidents."
And fines start at +6kph?
What a bullshit statement.
This is about revenue raising.
Money. Pure and simple.
I can walk faster than 6kph.
