In the first eight months Estonian Air carried altogether 387 117 passengers, 354 571 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers decreased 25.4% y-o-y, on regular flights 25%.
In August Estonian Air carried 53 727 passengers, 49 482 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers decreased 26.7%, on regular flights 26.2%.
In the first eight months the market share of Estonian Air in the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 46.7% which is 1.2 percentage points higher y-o-y. The total market share (regular and charter flights) was 42.2%, which is 0.7 percentage points higher y-o-y.
In August the market share of Estonian Air in the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 47.3%, which is 1.6 percentage points higher y-o-y. The total market share (regular and charter flights) was 41.1%, which is 0.5 percentage points lower y-o-y.
“Estonian Air is the biggest carrier on the Estonian market. This year the market share of Estonian Air in the regular flights segment at Tallinn airport has reached the highest level of recent years.
This fact clearly shows that the company has successfully adapted to recent market trends and changes,” says Rauno Parras, acting Estonian Air Vice President Commercial. “We want to win the customers’ loyalty and become their top preference of transportation both for travelling to and from Estonia,“ continued Parras.
In the first eight months Estonian Air operated 6744 flights, which is 18.7% less flights y-o-y. In August Estonian Air operated 884 flights, which is 11.7% less flights y-o-y.
Estonian Air belongs to the most punctual air carriers in Europe. In the first eight months the regularity of Estonian Air was 98.3%, which is 0.4 percentage points lower y-o-y. The 15-minute punctuality was 90.3%, which is 5.9 percentage points higher y-o-y.
In May the regularity and punctuality were 98.4% and 89.7% respectively.
