According to the Land Board of Estonia, a total of 50,528 real estate transactions were carried out in Estonia in the year 2008, writes the National Broadcasting.
The total volume of the transactions amounted to 39.8 billion kroons. The volume of transactions fell by 60% in comparison to the year 2007.
“The data are not completely final as yet, because some transactions might be included in statistics from the month of December – the time for entering them into the database is 10 days,” explained the Land Board.
The number of transactions was last so low in the year 2004 – then the relevant numbers were 48,649 transactions with a total volume of 25,6 billion kroons.
The best year in the past five years was 2006 when the number of transactions reached above 72,000 and the total volume reached 73.9 billion kroons.

It seems Estonia is the worst hit country in EU, maybe in the whole Europe (and maybe in the whole developed world!). But I think your national debt and budget deficit is fortunately very well maintained, this can be a big advantage! Here in Toronto, we had 45% sales drop in December...
Take care and best wishes!
