Collision with flock of birds
An Estonian Air Boeing 737-500, registration ES-ABL performing flight OV134 from Oslo Gardermoen (Norway) to Tallinn (Estonia), struck a flock of birds while on approach to Tallinn at 3000 feet. The birds hit and damaged one engine, the nose cone, the stabilizer and the hull. The landing was safe, no injuries have been reported.
The airplane had to be removed from service for repairs, causing problems for the airline to maintain their schedule.
