Maxima sales in Estonia up 55 pct in Q1

Maxima LT, the biggest retailer in Baltic states announced that their revenue rose 34 pct in the first quarter on sales growth in Estonia, Bloomberg writes.

According to the Maxima headquarter in Lithuania, the sales increased to  LTL 2.3 bln (EEK 10.3 bln) from LTL 1.7 bln (EEK 7.6 bln). Sales in Estonia grew 55 pct.

Maxima runs 412 supermarkets in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Bulgaria.
