HELSINKI - Estonia's insurance brokerage Iizi said it has bought an 82 pct stake in Finnish insurance brokerage Fundior Firstbrokers from Nordic finance and insurance company Fundior.
'Our objective is to become the leading insurance brokerage in both East Europe and (the) Nordic countries, and the first steps have now been taken,' the head of the Iizi group, Risto Rossar, said.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Fundior Firstbrokers, which was established in 1989 and generated 0.74 mln eur in turnover last year, will be renamed Iizi Firstbrokers Oy.
Fundior Firstbrokers' CEO Jaava Myllyniemi owns 18 pct of the company as of today, Iizi added.
