Last date to enter your winning ICT solution is September 25th
The second edition of the "Baltic Challenge Award" is now open for submission. Twelve countries are invited to participate. The Baltic Challenge 2007 is launched by the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, in co-operation with the City of Tallinn and Innovation Centre INNOEUROPE, and partners in most countries in the region. The winners will be announced at the Baltic Challenge Award's event, November 6 - 8, 2007, a part of the annual Innovation Week INNOESTONIA 2007 in Tallinn. Best solutions focusing Innovation and eGovernance will each be awarded with 5.000 EURO, sponsored by Innovation Centre INNOEUROPE.
- It is of great importance to our region that we stimulate the development of user-oriented ICT solutions in the Baltic Sea Region, says Per Unckel, County Governor of Stockholm. Initiatives like the Baltic Challenge are very important tools to promote regional co-operation, partnership and exchange of knowledge, increasing the global competitiveness of all Baltic Sea countries.
The Baltic Challenge is open for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions and applications facilitating daily life for employees, citizens and customers - both at work and in private. Leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and producers of ICT products and services from both public and private sectors are invited to showcase solutions improving the working routines in public administrations, educational institutions, businesses and among citizens.
The Baltic Challenge Award 2007 invites applicants from all Baltic Sea countries - Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden - including Belarus, Norway and Ukraine. The online application form is open at www.balticchallenge.net until September 15, 2007.
