TALLINN - A monument to Dutch SS officers who fought in the Estonian 20th SS Division has been overturned, the SL Ohtuleht newspaper reported on Friday.
It is not known who tipped over the monument, which stands on the Sinimae heights in northeastern Estonia, historian Iviki Maidre said. Some sort of equipment must have been used because the monument is massive.
Earlier, monuments to Estonian and Walloon SS officers were overturned at the Sinimae heights, where bloody battles took place in 1944.
The incident is being investigated.
