TALLINN

**Port of Tallinn CEO Mart Tooming filed his resignation on June 28, following criticism from state-appointed members of the supervisory council. The port said in its report to the Tallinn Stock Exchange that until a new board chairman is found board member Ain Kaljurand will act as chairman.

**DHL Express Nordic executives have announced their intention to expand the company’s Baltic activities as part of a strategic plan to turn the region into a major transit hub between East and West.

**Tensions around Eesti Raudtee (Estonian Railway) heated up again over the past week, with a government minister saying the state would consider buying back the rail infrastructure from the privately controlled company, while the CEO has accused the same minister of trying to renationalize the enterprise.
